It supports Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and dual 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands for up to 1900 Mb/s of combined speed. The extender supports nearly any Wi-Fi router, gateway, or modem, but gains additional features when added to an existing AiMesh router. When using AiMesh, the RP-AC1900 supports AiMesh-specific features, lets you roam freely in your home without switching networks, and supports a single Wi-Fi name/SSID for the entire home.
